Queen of Peace Children’s House is a catholic-based montessori school focused on educating the minds of young children, while still having fun, through Christ.
Our mission is to partner with parents to ensure that with God’s help each child is fully prepared to be the best that they can be and make positive contributions to their communities and the world.
We are able to do this by fully embracing the Montessori Philosophy, Curriculum, and Practice. At the Children’s House, each child’s learning pattern and/or style is different. We make regular observations of the children to ensure that their evolving learning needs are met.
Cultural Activities are a specific extension of the language curriculum where children begin to acquire a sense of historical fact, classification of physical geography and an appreciation of cultural differences.
Practical Life is the study of self-help skills and focuses on the four major areas, Care of Self, Care of Environment, Grace and Courtesy, and Movement.
Sensorial uses a multi-sensory approach to education. Children are encouraged to learn by processing information gathered through the sen.
Math continues the cognitive math development that began in the Practical Life Skills and Sensorial curriculum, taking an acute focus and more abstract thinking process with concrete materials.

The process begins with your school tour to visit our school. Following your tour and meeting at our school we invite you to observe one of our classrooms for 30 minutes to see how our certified Montessori instructors interact with our students. You’ll notice how well the children interact and self-direct their activities, sharing with others and learning at their own pace.
Two of my children have attended Queen of Peace Children’s House Montessori over the past 4 years and we are so happy to have found this school. The children are taught as individuals at their own pace but are never held back when they are ready to learn even more. Miss Doubra is an amazing educator and when you see her with the children, it is so obvious that she loves them and wants them all to rise to their full potential. They are fully prepared when they go on to their elementary schools and I can’t imagine my children going anywhere else for preschool.
I absolutely LOVE the school! As a member of Queen of Peace it is really nice that my children are comfortable with their surroundings more than just once a week on Sunday. It is a familiar place, and they love that they see Ms. Doubra at Mass. Queen of Peace Children’s House and all the teachers, aids, and volunteers have made such a difference in the lives of my children and my family!
Zachary has achieved my expectations and beyond. I am amazed at the wealth of knowledge and his reasoning ability. I am very proud of all Ms. Doubra and Queen of peace has offered and taught my child. I would highly recommend this school to anyone, regardless of faith.
